Express Entry Draw #164: CRS Score Decreases by 1 Point in an All Program Draw

express entry draw canada

An all-program draw was held on September 30th which saw invitations for 4,200 applicants through the Express Entry programs

Candidates needed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 471 to be invited in this invitation round. This was one point lower than the last all-program draw held on August 5th. 4,200 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for this draw. Canada has now issued over 78,350 ITAs to Express Entry candidates in 2020.

Today’s tie break rule had a timestamp of March 2, 2020 at 12:47:08 UTC. The tie-breaking rule is used by IRCC to rank candidates who have the same score. As per this draw’s tie-breaking rule, those candidates with scores of 471 who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before March 2, 2020 at 12:47:08 UTC receive an ITA in this round.

What is Express Entry?

The Express Entry system is an application system that manages the pool of candidates applying for Canadian economic immigration. The Express Entry system facilitates economic immigration through the following three programs – Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Express Entry is a two stage process, which starts with the creation of an express entry profile. A CRS Score is calculated for candidates which determines their rank in the pool. Periodic Express Entry draws are held by IRCC to invite candidates with certain scores. If you meet the express entry draw score, you are issued an invitation to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency.
