An all-program draw was held on September 2nd which saw invitations for 4,200 applicants through the Express Entry programs.
Candidates needed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 475 to be invited in this invitation round. This was one point higher than the last all-program draw held on August 5th. 4,200 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for this draw. This is the second highest number of invitations issued this year, showing Canada’s continued strong immigration targets despite the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. Today’s draw brings the total number of ITAs issued this year to 69,950 so far in 2020 – a new record for this date.
Today’s tie break rule had a timestamp of August 16, 2020 at 01:22:18 UTC. The tie-breaking rule is used by IRCC to rank candidates who have the same score. As per this draw’s tie breaking rule, those candidates with scores of 475 who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before August 16, 2020 at 01:22:18 UTC receive an ITA in this round.
