On August 20th 2020 Canada held its 161st draw for the Provincial Nominee Class in today’s Express Entry draw.
Candidates needed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 454 to be invited in this invitation round. 3,300 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for this draw. This was 9 points higher than the last express entry CEC draw held on July 23rd.
Another draw was held yesterday for Provincial Nominee Class where 600 invitations were issued and a minimum CRS score of 771. On August 6th a draw was held for the Federal Skilled Trades Program for candidates with a minimum score of 415. The day before that, Canada held an all program draw with 3,900 ITAs issued to candidates with a CRS of at least 476.
Despite the Coronavirus pandemic, 2020 has seen a record number of invitations for express entry invitations in this year’s express entry draws. Canada has already issued 65,750 ITAs in 2020. This shows that Canada is still meeting it’s 2020 targets for immigration, despite the pandemic.
